Irshansk branch of the “UMCC” launched processing plant after capital repair

Capital repair of the Processing Plant No.3 of Irshansk MMC, a part of “UMCC”, is a company's planned step on the way to reduction of production risks.

“The new UMCC’s Management promotes the trouble-free operation of the Irshansk MMC according to the established schedule of the capital repairs of divisions and combines.This year, thanks to the repair and replacement of technical equipment, the Processing Plant No.3 will be able to reach the production of natural ilmenite concentrate at more than 15,000 tons per month”, said Artur Somov, Deputy Acting Head of the Board of JSC “UMCC”.

During the temporary shutdown of production, in the period from 9 to 19 of June, the Processing Plant No.3 managed to replace the drying drum and repair the core process equipment. Timely completion of equipment repairs and start-up of the Processing Plant No.3 in the regular mode took place due to the well-coordinated work of all production units of the company. The realization of such work capacity was promoted by the responsible attitude of the structural units’ supervisors, the persistent execution of all processes by employees of the branch.

Processing Plant No.3 specializes in the production of high quality natural ilmenite concentrate. Currently, the Plant has fully resumed its work and reached the planned production figures for ilmenite concentrate - about 600 tons per day.In the future, the work will take place in regular mode and according with the approved annual plan for the ilmenite concentrate production.

Improving the efficiency of production capacities, as well as control over the Management of Irshansk and Vilnohirsk branches of JSC “UMCC” is the best condition for the capitalization of the Company on the eve of privatization.
