Investigation of attempt to bribe the Head of the Fund has completed

According to the NABU, after the completion of the pre-trial investigation on suspicion in a crime commitmentby a person attempting to give the Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine illegal benefit in amount of USD 800 thousand, on November, 30, 2020, the investigation materials were revealed to the suspect to inform him before sending indictment to the court.

In June, the NABU’s detectives launched the investigation of this crime under the Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Dmytro Sennychenko and his External Adviser Olha Batova’s applications.

On July 9, 2020, the suspect was exposed in the act immediately and apprehended after he handed over the first part of illegal benefit in amount of USD 200 thousand. And on July, 10, it was reported on suspicion.

According to the investigation information, the suspect of crime planned to hand over:

USD 200 thousand - for prolongation of contract between a private enterprise and one of joint stock companies with the state ownership share that is under the SPFU’s management;

USD 500 thousand - for appointment of the mentioned above joint stock company to the position of the Chairman of the Board;

USD 100 thousand - for appointment of one more joint stock company with the state ownership share that is under the SPFU’s management to the position of the Chairman of the Board.
