Privatization of Kobylovoloky Operating Location and Alcohol Storage. The income mark of UAH 1 billion from the privatization of alcohol assets is overcame

On December, 23, 2020, an online e-auction on the privatization of Kobylovoloky Operating Location and Alcohol Storage in the amount of UAH 81 750 101 was held.

Thus, according to the results of online e-auctions on privatization of alcohol assets, which is implemented by the State Property Fund of Ukraine within the framework of the alcohol industry demonopolization, more than UAH 1 billion should be received to the budget.

This e-auction is the 16th in a series of successful online e-auctions on the SE "Ukrspyrt”’s objects privatization, the future owners of which, after signing sale contracts and conducting payments, will get the opportunity to become participants in the new alcohol production market.

Five participants have registered for the e-auction, which during transparent and competitive bidding increased the price more than three times from the starting one – from UAH 25.9 million to UAH 81.75 million.

This became possible due to the quality preparation and conduct of the transparent privatization e-auctions provided by the State Property Fund and that ensures fair and unified rules for every potential investor.

"Already at this stage, we can talk about the success of the alcohol production industry demonopolization, and further attraction of investors through privatization will allow to increase competition in the new market, and thus will motivate its participants to invest in modernization of enterprises and in the creation of new high-tech jobs", Dmytro Sennichenko, Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, stated.

According to him, the first billion from the privatization of alcohol assets is an important turning point, but not the final – because ahead there is a conduct of the next online e-auctions on objects from the list of SE "Ukrspyrt" and concern "Ukrspyrt".

The Law on State Regulation of Alcohol Production and Turnover provides that by mid-2021 a private investor has the only way to start producing alcohol in Ukraine – to privatize state capacities at a transparent e-auction.
