Kozatskiy Hotel is being prepared for privatization

Today, Vitaliy Koval, the Chairman of the SPFU, had a working visit to the hotel, as it was recently transferred to the SPFU by a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers. The property was transferred for further privatization.

"The Kozatskiy is located near the Maidan Nezalezhnosti and Khreshchatyk metro stations, in the heart of Kyiv. The hotel has 126 rooms, a restaurant, a coffee shop, a parking lot, and 5 conference and banquet rooms. In recent years, the facility has received less than UAH 1 million in net profit, and in 2022, it incurred more than UAH 8.5 million in losses.

Today, the facility needs a responsible investor who could improve the premises and continue the business. The SPFU's team is currently working on the relevant documentation for online bidding.

For reference. The Kozatskiy Hotel has a long and glorious history; the hotel building was constructed in 1979-1983 on the site of the two-story "Gudovsky House" (named after the photographer who rented the second floor for a photo studio). In 1859, Taras Shevchenko and other prominent figures stayed here. A memorial plaque commemorates this event.
