Rental cost of two premises in International Airport “Lviv” increased in 2 and 16 times, as a result of e-auctions on lease contracts extension

As a result of two conducted online e-auctions on lease contracts extension of premises in the passenger terminal of Danylo Halytskyi International Airport “Lviv”:

The first object is a part of premises of the terminal with an area of 4.0 sq. m. Its lease contract is extended for 4 years and 11 months.

The starting price of the lot at the e-auction was of UAH 1 594.29. The current tenant paid the same amount for the last rental month under the previous contract which is extended. As a result of the online bidding where there were 4 participants, the rental price increased in 16 times – up to UAH 25 500. This amount will be the monthly rent under the new contract.

The second object is a part of premises of the terminal with an area of 23.5 sq.m. Its lease contract is extended for 2 years and 11 months.

The starting price of the lot was of UAH 7 597. As a result of online bidding where there were 2 participants,  the rental price increased more than twice – up to UAH 17 000. This amount will be the monthly rent under the new contract. It has to be noted, that under the previous contract that is extended, the last month’s rent was of UAH 7 339.07.

According to the lease conditions, above-mentioned assets on the area of International Airport “Lviv” can be used for any intended purpose.

The State Property Fund of Ukraine reminds that according to the Regulation “On the State and Municipal Property Lease”, when lease contracts are extended, the current tenants have the preferential right to extend a contract.

It means that for current tenants it is enough to take part in e-auction on the lease contract extension and make the first closed price proposal that has to be not less than the amount of the starting rental payment (clause 149 of the Regulation “On the State and Municipal Property Lease”).

After the completion of an e-auction, the current tenant has to provide agreement to extend contract by the price at the level of the highest rate that will be offered by the bidding winner.

In case the current tenant doesn’t agree it, the right to conclude lease contract goes to the winner of online bidding, who will have 3 working days to sign protocol and 20 working days to conclude lease contract, starting from the day after the day of  the protocol on e-auction results development.
