The State Property Fund attracted a record amount from privatization in 10 years

From January to June 2023, the State Property Fund of Ukraine attracted UAH 1.82 billion to the state budget from privatization. This is a record amount from privatization over the last ten years.

During the same period of the previous three years, privatization brought almost the same amount. The average indicator of investments for the previous 10 years was only UAH 267 million.

"Our motivation is clear - to support the Defense Forces and effectively use state assets. We are looking for effective owners for the loss-making state property, which has been idle for years and generated millions of losses," stressed the Chairman of the SPFU Rustem Umerov.

Notable auctions in the first half of the year include the privatization of the buildings of the Hermitage Hotel in Kyiv, which has become the largest sale during the full-scale invasion, as well as the sale of the first seaport in the history of Ukraine. For Ust-Dunaisk, it has been possible to attract UAH 201 million to the state budget.

The SPFU plans to resume large-scale privatization, as well as begin the privatization of property seized from russian oligarchs soon.
