International Cooperation: The team of the State Property Fund of Ukraine continues to work with the French state agency for international cooperation

The Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, Vitaliy Koval, and Deputy Chairmen of the Fund, together with the Ministry of Economy, met with the management teams of "Expertise France," "Pravo-Justice," and "mAIDan Ukraine".

The Chairman of the State Property Fund expressed gratitude to "Expertise France" for organizing the trip to France, which provided the Fund's team with many new ideas and inspiration. In turn, the Fund continued systematic work on several ideas. In particular, we are actively working on changes to Ukrainian legislation.

"Today, the Fund has over 2000 enterprises. Our biggest challenge is to build effective management for them. Therefore, the experience of our colleagues from the Service France Domaine, which we adopted during the working trip, is important to us," emphasized the Chairman of the State Property Fund.

During the meeting, Vitaliy Koval presented the work of the State Property Fund to foreign colleagues. He spoke about the key directions: leasing, privatization, corporate governance, and property valuation. They focused on discussing the largest privatization objects, which included PJSC "United Mining and Chemical Company," PJSC "Sumykhimprom," and the "Ukraine" hotel.

"The State Property Fund is interested in the approach to privatization of state objects in France, which takes into account mandatory expenditures on energy efficiency of premises. We agreed to continue studying their model and implementing it in the Fund," emphasized the Chairman.

Vitaliy Koval also emphasized that $1 from privatization brings $4 of private investments. For Ukraine, this is strengthening the internal reserve, which is especially necessary today.

They also discussed the prospects and opportunities of implementing the new project "Land Bank." The Fund`s team explained to the partners the mechanisms and terms of leasing agricultural land.

In turn, Ivanna Smachylo emphasized: "Today it is important to understand what to leave in state ownership, what to sell, and what to liquidate. We thank our foreign partners for their assistance in developing the law on the liquidation of state enterprises. We expect the law to be passed. The biggest challenge is the implementation of a quality management system for state-owned enterprises. Since shareholders must have friendly partnership relations, which needs to be correctly structured. The experience of any country is individual, our task is to implement all practices that are best suited for Ukraine."

As a summary, foreign partners expressed their support, gratitude for cooperation, and positive feedback on the trip to Paris. They assured of their readiness to provide assistance and work together on creating technical tasks.
