In the Lviv region in 2021, 46 objects will be put up for privatization at online auctions, Kostiantyn Koshelenko

This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Kostiantyn Koshelenko during a business trip to Lviv on February 25, 2021

During the trip, Kostiantyn Koshelenko has discussed cooperation between the city and oblast authorities and potential investors. In addition, he spoke to journalists about actual news of privatization and lease processes.

The Deputy Chairman thanked leadership of Lviv city and Lviv oblast for efficient work and noted the powerful economic potential of the region.

“Our goal is to attract investment to the domestic economy through privatization and lease. Privatization will allow, instead of spending on the maintenance of non-core assets, to receive funds for things useful for the region from the growth of revenues to the local budget and create new jobs,” said Kostiantyn Koshelenko.

He also noted that thanks to transparent market mechanisms the price of assets is formed openly, as a result of which the number of auction participants increased from 2.2 to 3.1. He also spoke about the privatization plans in Lviv.

“46 objects from the list have high potential, which in 2021 will allow attracting at least UAH 610 million of budget revenues, modernizing assets that need it for a long time, creating business opportunities and new jobs,” noted the Deputy Chairman of the State Property Fund.

At the same time, he noted the positive dynamics of proceeds from privatization in the Lviv region. Last year, the State budget had received UAH 126 billion, which is 2 times more than in 2019, and 5 times more than in 2018.

Konstantin Koshelenko also invited journalists and the public to report cases of misuse of state assets, and thus facilitate their transfer to transparent privatization.
