We need to develop our own methodology for assessing losses during the war – Rustem Umerov, Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine

On October 5, 2022, Rustem Umerov, Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, met with Krzysztof Grzesik, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TEGOVA – the European Group of Valuers Associations.

The European Group of Valuers Associations (TEGOVA) unites 63 national appraiser associations from 34 countries.

During the meeting, they discussed the unification of rules and methods of valuation activities on the territory of Ukraine in conditions of russian aggression.

"We need to develop our own methodology for assessing losses during the war which will work according to world rules and standards. At the same time, we are working to ensure that our specialists can work abroad and ensure the quality of assessment according to International Standards", Rustem Umerov said during the meeting.

Chairman of the SPFU stressed that the Fund intends to provide foreign experts with the right to assess losses on the territory of Ukraine, as well as to recognize the qualification certificates of foreign appraisers under the simplified procedure.

In the near future, it is planned to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between the State Property Fund and the European Group of Valuers Associations.

At the end of the meeting, Chairman of the SPFU thanked TEGOVA and personally Krzysztof Grzesik for supporting the development of the assessment field in Ukraine.
